Projects that are growing and no longer have clear ownership of responsibilities.
GalvySoft / Services
Software engineering and architecture
Problem analysis and maintainable architecture design for new products or existing systems that need to evolve with discipline.
Useful architecture is not an elegant diagram: it is a set of decisions that lets a team build, test, deploy and change a system without every new feature increasing risk disproportionately. We turn real requirements and constraints into a technical structure people can understand.
When it makes sense
Problems we can help you solve
Legacy systems where changes break unrelated parts and no one has a complete picture.
Choices between monoliths, modules, services or integrations made by trend instead of real needs.
Ambiguous business requirements that reach development as isolated tasks and create rework.
Scope
What this service can cover
Final scope is defined by the project needs, constraints and criticality.
- Requirements discovery and analysis
- Architecture and component design
- Modular monoliths, services and SOA when appropriate
- Data and interface modeling
- Technology decisions and documentation
- Review and modernization of existing systems
- Technical support through implementation and deployment
Capabilities
What we do in practice
Discovery and requirements
We turn business goals and technical constraints into decisions that can be verified.
- Requirements and scenario discovery
- Actors, flows and business rules
- Risks, constraints and acceptance criteria
Architecture design
We look for a structure proportional to the problem and the team's real capacity.
- Modular monolith, services or SOA when appropriate
- Module, component and responsibility boundaries
- Synchronous/asynchronous communication and dependencies
Data and interfaces
We design contracts that reduce ambiguity between components and teams.
- Data and relationship modeling
- APIs, events and module interfaces
- Contract versioning and compatibility
Modernization and review
A rewrite is not always the answer. We first identify what should be preserved and where the real cost lies.
- Architecture and technical debt review
- Incremental refactoring or migration plan
- Technical support through implementation and deployment
How we work
From the problem to an operable solution
Before implementing, we clarify the problem, the risks and how we will verify that the solution works.
Understand the system
We talk to the people who use, maintain and make decisions about the product, not only to the codebase.
Make decisions explicit
We document alternatives, trade-offs and rationale so architecture does not depend on informal memory.
Validate with scenarios
We test the design against expected changes, failures, security, data and operations.
Support implementation
Architecture is adjusted with evidence during development instead of becoming a frozen document.
Use cases
Situations where this service is a good fit
New product with technical uncertainty
Define a foundation that can start without overengineering while making clear which decisions can be deferred.
Legacy system that is hard to change
Identify coupling, risk points and a modernization sequence that does not require stopping the business.
Growing team
Clarify modules, contracts and conventions so new contributors can work without increasing chaos.
Delivery
What can remain when the work is complete
- Context and component maps
- Architecture decisions and considered alternatives
- Data model and key interfaces
- Technical risks and mitigation plan
- Prioritized technical roadmap or modernization plan
Outcome
What we aim to improve
- Fewer implicit decisions and less rework
- More localized and predictable changes
- Better communication between business and engineering
- Technology chosen from real constraints instead of trends
- Useful documentation for the people who will maintain the system
Real scope
What should be clear from the beginning
We do not treat microservices, event sourcing, DDD or other techniques as universal recipes. They are used when they provide verifiable value. If the system first needs simpler requirements, data or processes, that takes priority over adding more architecture.
GalvySoft
Is your system growing faster than the clarity needed to change it?
We can review the current architecture or design a new foundation with explicit decisions, priorities and a realistic evolution path.
