GalvyOS moves into a stage focused on complete product verticals

The focus is no longer feature count. It is turning existing capabilities into complete, evaluable product journeys.

From proving pieces to closing complete journeys

GalvyOS can already boot, install, run its graphical environment, use its native storage, connect over IPv4 and IPv6 and be administered through its own tools. There is also real progress in Vulkan, SSH, packages and application compatibility.

That changes where the most valuable work is.

The priority is now to close complete journeys: install, update, reboot, verify, roll back or recover; install software and complete its lifecycle; and validate an end-to-end physical hardware profile.

Real hardware before an infinite matrix

Virtualization remains the most mature environment for development and certification. Physical hardware already has support across several storage, USB and networking families, but important modern laptop pieces such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, physical GPU support, audio and power management remain incomplete.

Instead of marking dozens of devices as “supported” with partial coverage, the goal is to first close one or more reference profiles that can actually be used.

The first public ISO will not be rushed

Having many features is not the same as having a release ready for third parties. Before publishing an image we want a reproducible build, sufficient documentation, known limits and an install/update/recovery lifecycle that can be explained and repeated.

Until then, GalvyOS will continue to be presented as an advanced technology preview.
