Understanding GalvyOS development status
What labels such as Functional, Advanced or In development mean, and why they do not equal a finished public release.
Continuous development is not the same as a public release
GalvyOS is built and validated capability by capability. A feature can be implemented and useful within a specific scope while the complete product still needs work before a public release.
How to read the status labels
- Functional: a complete usage path exists and is validated within the stated scope.
- Advanced: the capability goes well beyond a prototype, although qualification, performance or coverage work may remain.
- Expanding / In development: real functionality exists, but important scenarios are still missing before it can be considered general.
- Planned: it is part of product direction, but is not presented as available today.
What the roadmap means
The public roadmap shows product goals. It does not reproduce the internal backlog, does not contain uncommitted dates and may change when testing reveals new dependencies or priorities.
Downloads
As long as the official downloads page says Coming soon, there is no official public GalvyOS ISO.
